I've been doing quite a bit of work on the Dunagan project. Recently my family and I found out some interesting information concern my GGG Grandfather Ezekiel Jackson Dunagan, You may view his actual picture on DOAS Image. Ezekiel as you may know was married to my GGG Grandmother Lydia Ann Brown, after having a number of fine children with Lydia she passed away. He then married Margaret Peggy Wallace.
He had several children with Margaret. The picture of Ezekiel with several of his slaves on his farm in GA, shows two of his children. The young boy with his arm resting on Ezekiel is his blood son. From this son came many children and of course grandchildren and on and on.
Ezekiel had quite a few bi-racial children. Some of course living to this day. I have several pictures I will share with you. I intend to include two chapters concerning my Dunagan family in my new book. I'm a published writer with Simon and Schuster. Since I became obsessed with DNA I knew I had to write about my roots, my ancestors, my family. The book will include all of this and much more. I'm related to one president of the United States. You will have to read the book to find out. I'm in the middle of the book. I hope to have it finished in a year. The first book actually took me ten years. but I had five rewrites. This is not an easy go. Anyway I'm proud to be a Dunagan thanks to Mary Dunagan my Grandmother and all my Dunagan ancestors.
